Well Africa is good , somethings about the culture, Birthdays and Weddings and Funerals are HUGE, people love Grave stones you should see the cemeteries here! Lots of rituals and traditions surrounding it too, like a lady we were teaching was gonna be baptized but then he husband died and she has to go into 6 months of mourning and cant have any visitors or its disrespectful to the spirit of her diseased husband shows she doesnt care about him. Churches - They have services all during the week and every church has different uniforms, like the ZCC church had a conference this last weekend and took over the town you literally couldn't go anywhere so we had to leave the area. just because we couldnt work. The attitude is get things for nothing FREE FREE FREE haha and lazy. BUT TELL RUGER HAPPY BIRTHDAY FOR ME!  i tried there e-mail but it doesnt work. 

yeah its getting chilly here this past week was raining and cold! got a new companion he is from Kiribati and island in the pacific ocean. Still struggling with the language he hasnt really put a lot of effort into it though like my last companion! that guy was dedicated to learning. But this is my 3rd companion that i have had to do language study with. never thought i would use Chapter 7 of PMG. guess i should become an English teach hahah just kidding! yeah the mission is getting ready for the split and lots of things are happening. conference was all about mission and its going to take a lot of funds to open 50+ new missions and everything. Well I am learning a lot in this area after 6 weeks i had to take over so still struggling a bit but lots of good people here just have to put my head down and get to work to build this area up. The ward is good and like all the township wards here a bit unorganized and a lot crazy but its good. i've been reading D&C trying to get through it for the 1st time and i've really been rebuked i guess is the right word. But lots of talk of missionary work and how to do it. So i still have lots of learn in this journey of life. haha

ELDER REEVE

Well its been a crazy week. Got a new comp his name is Elder Iairo he is from Kiribati and island in the pacific ocean close to tonga and samoa. Its been an interesting week trying to mesh and get comfortable with each other but its good. I had a wonderful opportunity last week to testify about the atonement to a guy we are teaching- owen, he is overcoming Word of Wisdom problems and i had the chance to testify of how the Atonement can help him overcome that it was a great experience and really helped me to know that i have a testimony of the atonement so that was good :) Got to eat pigs feet and mopani worms WOW! that has been the only thing that i have had a hard time eating just because of the texture! but then i got to eat Moghodu which is cow intestine- wasnt bad with pork and acha - its like a mango salad. so lots of excotic things this week haha its been really wet and cold this past week and out car broke down in the middle of the night on friday so that was a problem but we were able to call a member and got the problem fixed.  so its been an interesting week. LOTS OF LOVE ELDER REEVE- MY NEW COMP. my last comps in our 3-some (backwards oreo! :)

transfer update: Transfers tomorrow! wow where has the time gone! only

with elder ranjato for 6 weeks but it was good :) get a new comp.

tomorrow so ill update you next week on what is happening. but we

ended the transfer with a great baptism of David Nyandoro from

Zimbabwe a powerful man who has really been changed by the gosple :)

work is good and i know why i am here now and im finding joy in the

work :)

WOW! how old is this baby again?!? she is BIG! haha thats good to hear

that every one is doing so well i keep praying and hoping the best for

all you guys. We have had a couple baptisms in the last few weeks just

havent been able to send pictures but really really wonderful people.

The Rasweswe family and David Nyandoro. great people with powerful

testimonies who are truly converted and are going to be great :) yeah

time is flying! my companion is getting transferred so i will have a

new companion tomorrow! hope hes a good guy :) and elder bodily the

other elder in my distirct will be traning so should be good :)

ELDER REEVE

hey mama,

well this past week has been........interesting i cant call it

exciting, maybe dramatic is the word.But one of the missionaries in my

district got sent home, so that was stressful dealing with all that

mess, and now im in a 3 some untill next week when we have transfers.

so anything could happen. Guess thats life unpredictable.

Ya conference was really great got to watch it live :) PRETTY COOL A

TEMPLE IN CEDAR CITY! :) I got your letter for Easter thanks :)

Well not a whole lot else to report from this side. things are just

going as usual. Just trying to stay strong and build my testimony and

stay busy helping others to do the same. Lots of work to be done here,

Had a baptism last week and will have another one this up coming

sunday so lots of good people here, ill try to send pictures next

ELDER REEVE

hey, so this last week has been really busy and just a bit hectic,

finally got transferred after another 6 month area! im missing it like

crazy, but this place aint to bad i guess. im in Saulsville. Its

another town ship, BUT COMPLETELY DIFFERENT FROM TEMBISA!!!! everyone

here speaks a different language, in case you didnt know South Africa

has 11 official languages! so i have to put away my Zulu and learn

Sooto now, kinda difficult but im sure ill get used to it. Just sucks

learning a new area and new people.  Well my comp is from Madagascar

and his name is Elder Ranjato. He is really cool, and he plays the

guitar so im thinking about buying one so he can teach my and i can

learn to play, but we will see. Cause i really enjoy music.  Well the

work is going good here we should have a baptism on Sunday if they

pass the interview which they should. But i didnt really do

anything.... that kinda seems like the thing im doing a lot come to a

new area, baptize all the people the other missionaries prepared and

then have to build up the teaching pool. but i guess if thats my job

then so be it. i can work hard, thats something my parents taught me

haha. WORK WORK WORK!  But thats really all the news right now, still

trying to get used to and learn the new area and all the people. Hope

Hey everyone, this week was good then bad then good then bad then good

then bad hhaha lots of ups and downs. First of all i lost my USB which

contained the last year of pictures that i have taken.....so ya thats

really a bummer i have lost all motivation to take pictures anymore so

sorry for the lack of pics haha. Good news, im expanding my cooking

skills made lasagna from scratch....guess its not to hard but its the

first time and went well so i was happy. We had a baptism on saturday

it went really well it was a young man and we are going to be working

with his family now, they loved the baptism so hopefully their hearts

were softened. Also in other exciting news, President Omer our mission

prez announced on Tuesday that as of July 1st the Habaroni Botswana

mission will be created from the Jo-burg and Cape Town missions,

Botswana and Namibia will be the new mission and so i might have the

opportunity to be going to a new mission and starting mission work for

the first time in a new country! They didnt release numbers but it

sounded like the number of Full time missionaries in the world will be

doubled by the summer!!! 100,000!!!!!!!!! its crazy, but ya i MIGHT

have the  chance to serve in two countries and two different missions

that would be exciting! the work of the lord is moving quickly and his

coming is soon, Hope your all getting ready :) hahah but ya had some

really great experiences with a lady named shelly, her friend invited

her to church and we began teaching her, to see the change in her over

the last 3 months has been incredible! She is truly converted to the

gospel and she doesn't even know it yet. As well as some not so good

experiences, SHOW! just warning ya'll if you ever pray and ask the

Lord to help you develop charity you better watch out! cause its all

gonna come at you, haha but the experiences are good to learn from and

grow from. Also transfers are next week Tuesday the  5th! and ill be

done training so ill most likely be getting transferred :) so that

will be exciting im ready for new experiences and new people. But it

will be sad to leave this area we have some sweet people going to be

baptized in MARCH so the work is moving :)  love you all and hope you
