Hey, This week has been kinda slow because everyone is on winter

holiday and so its been a little hard but still good as always. so

transfers tomorrow ELDER FAGG And I are staying together so im happy

about that hes cool, Elder Randy is leaving us so we wont be in a

3-some anymore. Had a good week it was the 4th of July so we got

together and had a BBQ with some Elders it was really nice to relax a

little and have some fun :) Elder Fagg had his birthday on Sunday so

we had a little party it was fun and we are getting ready for some

baptisms at the end of this month. I dont really know what else to say

but hope you enjoy the pictures :) love you guys lots and hope all is

Hello,
ya its crazy time is going by pretty quickly, we have been really busy
this last couple weeks and doing a lot of teaching and service and
building relationships with members and people around so its good. The
baptisms are still up coming and transfers is next weeks so hopefully
ill still be around for them. They are just closing the JO-BURG temple
here because they need to repair the roof.
Thanks for letting me know ill start praying for them as well, and Amanda too.
Actually the weather had been kind of weird for this time of year we
have been having a really hot week for Winter so its nice haha but the
work goes on
Im starting to work on one chirstlike attriubte each month and this
month is Obedience and my gospel study topic for my personal study is
Faith and i read about the brother of Jared this morning and it was
really good.
Well the work continues  and life goes on haha :) love you guys

HEY,

man thanks so much for looking after Jesse for me while im away hahah

:) it helped a lot hes gonna do great :) Sunday was good we had 5

investigators at church and hopefully they were able to feel the

spirit, it was funny as always with fast and testimony meeting all the

little kids run up to the stand and so one little boy got up and said

i know the church is true......and he kinda sat there for a while and

couldnt think of anything else to say so he shrugged his shoulders and

ran off the stand and sat back down....it made me think though , that

really is all there is to it. THE CHURCH IS TRUE. the end thats all

that matters because its through this gospel that we can receive all

that our heavenly father has to give us and we can be with our family

together forever! :) but thanks for letting me know about K&S i will

pray for them and Amanda

no i still have not received any letters yet but it takes about 2

weeks to get there i think so if they come some time this week ill let

you know next time hahah

We are in a 3-some now for the last 2 weeks of the Transfer Elder

Randiestraniye from Madagascar got ET'd so he is staying with us till

the 10th, hes a cool guy and we go play basketball in the mornings so

thats nice :) haha oh Peter and Maria got married last week so they

will be getting baptized on 15th hopefully! that was really cool to

see and then we had another great week of teaching! we have been super

busy and its nice to be busy haha :) makes time go by fast

i have been out for 3 months offically now! CRAZY haha still a long

ways to go but i already have learned a lot and seen a lot as well

haha

Hey, this week was great taught 20 lessons this week which was
awesome- we were super busy got a couple more people on date and they
are progressing really well, its amazing to see how the gospel can
change people, seemingly over night they will make a change because of
their faith and desire to come close to Christ, im glad your
operations went well and that the family didnt kill each other at the
Renuion :) hahah
but ya interestingly enough our priesthood lesson was on service and
that if we have christ at the Center of our lives that everything is
better, because as we develop christ like attributes we become more
like him and will serve other but also we will be humble enough to
accept service from others, because who are we to deny other the
blessing that come from service?
so i have decided that im going to take a chirstlike attribute from
chapter six in PMG and work on a different one each month :) excited
to see how that goes
but ya we get to go to the temple once a transfer and we got stuck in
traffic last friday so we missed our chance to go :( and it was the
last time for a long time because the temple is going to be closed
from next month till September for repairs and cleaning :(
but hope all is well and ill talk to you next week

HEY!

HOPE EVERYONE ENJOYED THE REUNION :) sounds like you all had a lot of fun.

Id just like to add something to what R.J. said- In 1 Nephi chapter 8

and 11 in talking about the tree of life Lehi says that when we

partook of the fruit of the tree of life it was SO GOOD and SO

DESIRABLE ABOVE ANYTHING! and we know what the fruit is the love of

God and i know we have all felt the love of our Heavenly Father in our

lives and that great joy which the gospel brings,  and so just as Lehi

says after he partook his greatest desire was for his family and those

he loved to partake also, when we think about the bigger picture

EVERYONE IS OUR BROTHER OR SISTER - We should have the same love for

them as we do for our own brothers and sisters. because what we have

is so great! the gospel is such a blessing and the knowledge that we

have from is brings such peace and joy, so why do we keep it to

ourselves?

sounds like the reunion went well :) thats awesome, haha hope everyone

had a good time. its a miracle that all the grandkids got along and no

fights at all??? wow :)

haha but ya the work is going good here in the Roodepoort area, Elder

Fagg and i made a goal to teach at least 10 lessons a week and this is

our 3 week together and we are just on the border of 15 lessons a week

so its exciting.

Pieter- Bro. Pieter is such an amazing guy, he is a poor white

africkans guy who is living with his girlfriend and her family, he is

41 and is just so humble and so kind, he looks kinda scary the first

time you see him but as soon as he smiles and opens his mouth he is

just so nice and gentle, but anyways we have been teaching them for a

few weeks now, and his girlfriend Maria didnt really seem to like us

very much but we got them to come to church and talked to them about

somethings that were going on in their lives, and she opened up to us

and really changed, anyways long story short they have decided to get

married so that they can be baptised. its incredible what the gospel

and  the spirit can do. Pieter had a Word of Wizdom problem but we

gave him a blessing and its been 2-3 weeks and he seems to be over it

so thats really cool, this last sunday though the people who were

supposed to give him a ride to church were confused about it and didnt

get him, so we went over after church and he was crushed, we asked him

how he was and he said he was really sad and he was waiting all day

and we felt so bad. they are renovating the house right now so we

shared a quick spiritual thought with them by the light of an led head

light because they dont have electricity, it really was a good night.

and ya i sent you and grandma a letter for mothers day - guess they

got burned in the post office raid or something? mail here is horrible

Family Reunion Part 2

TRIED a little dutch oven at the ward activity -they call it something
else though- anyways it was a disaster hahaha burnt the cobbler on the
bottom and it wasnt cooked on the top- its diccicult cooking in a pot
rather than a dutchoven pan

To the family - i just want you all to remember how great this gospel
is, its hard sometimes to REMEMBER it and to keep doing the little
things but i know as you REMEMBER to put the SAVIOR FIRST in ALL YOU
DO you will be able to accomplish all things what so ever you shall
attempt haha (im writing my own scriptures now hehe :) just kidding )
but really the gospel is what brings true happiness in this life and
FAMILY and the knowledge that we can be together forever as a FAMILY
and nothing can stop us but us so strengthen each other support each
other and tell each other you love them cause I LOVE YOU ALL and pray
for you all. cant wait to hear about all the fun stuff that goes on
this week :)

Family Reunion

HEY, TELL EVERYONE HELLO FOR ME :) LOVE YOU ALL hope you all are having fun.
we had a really cool experience last week on fast sunday, and this
week as well, and man the work is picking up Elder Fagg and i have set
a goal to teach at least 10 lessons each week, and the work is
starting to pick up and the investigators are progressing well, there
is so much to say and not a whole lot of time haha so im trying to
decided between writing and sending pictures right now so i think ill
just send pictures for everyone and then write a bit more next week,
BUT first of all Fathers DAY is next week- DAD I LOVE YOU! your are
the greatest example in my life of being christ like and i know as i
try to be more like you ill be becoming  more like the savior because
you have built your life around the important things and im so
grateful for you and mom i love you guys and im so grateful for all
you do for me and us as a family, stay strong father! :)
FAMILY- HEY guys AFRICA IS THE BEST MISSION EVER! i really love it
here and dont want to be anywhere else right now! I LOVE YOU ALL SO
MUCH
